What impact does tourism have on the environment of Victoria falls?

Gambling and related activities such as nighttime shows and bars are the lifeblood of Las Vegas because it brings in lots and lots of money. However, comparatively little of it is used to counter the adverse environmental effects.

Las Vegas has expanded into much of Clark County, including the cities of North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. The expansion of the city, both commercial and residential, has been into the surrounding desert. This has eliminated or degraded habitats for the native plants and animals. Some pristine areas do still exist.

The few agricultural activities may actually be damaging the ecosystem by accumulating salts in the water table, and by adding chemicals to the runoff water. Rainfall is only about 4.5 inches a year, and use of water to grow lawns and trees removes it from use for the natural plants, which fortunately need very little.

Hey, The environment would be effected in many ways for example with litter that cannot decompose such as plastic bags and crisp packets. Also the new people and that noise and other pollutants could effect the way that animals live and effect there local habitats.

There is a lot of natural flora and fauna surrounding Victoria Falls. THe increasing amount of loud helicopters Scare away some of the bird life. There is also the problem of poaching and fishing that threaten the wildlife as well as threes being cut down for carving industries, ect.
