Judaism is the religion of the Jews. However, Judaism begins with a community (the ancestors of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob). It is not until the encounter with God at Mount Sinai when the Nation of Israel shaped a religion by accepting and vowing to live by God's commandments ... One is born a Jew and it is with participation among the Jewish Community in which a Jewish identity is maintained (rather than ritual observance).

In Judaism, the messiah is a human being who would save the Jewish people from their enemies and establish the Kingdom of God (on earth). All other nations would acknowledge the One God of Israel and there would be peace in the world ... The Jews does not accept Jesus as the Messiah because he did not save the Jewish people from the Romans or being peace to the world.
