It depends upon your role in the family, and how much you are willing to sacrifice to do what is best for your family. For instance, a man whose wife does not work because the couple decided that she should be a stay at home mom might have to work a job he doesn't really like for a period of time. When choosing careers or jobs, one should consider the impact on your family. How many hours will you work, how much money do you need, what benefits are provided, what percentage of your time will be dedicated to work, will you travel, and what level of education is needed? If you are single, consult older people (parents or trusted relatives or friends). Ask them for advice and their experiences. Think about the long term consequences of any given career path. Ultimately, the choice is yours to make, and whatever influence you receive from anyone is a matter of your personal values. You can choose to ignore some or all attempts to influence your career choices. If you are responsible for others, however (Husband/Wife/Children), you owe it to them to allow your decisions to be based on what is best for them. Remember, it is NOT all about the money. It is about doing what is best for the people you love, and being happy when you are at work, and at home. You might have to make sacrifices now in order to ensure a better future for your family.

I'll rather choose career precisely because i believed that career is once in a lifetime opportunity and i am confident enough that my family is always there to support me what ever it is,and I'm doing that not just for my self but for them also.
