please sumbody answer this Q i need it!!!
7up and aspirin & sugar.....could all help prolong the life of freshly cut flowerrs. that's what i read anywyas....im doin it for a project at schoooooolThere are many simple, household ingredients that can be used to prolong the life of cut flowers. Anything that will increase the acidity of the water thus lowering the pH level will help the flowers. Possibilities include (but are not limited to) aspirin, vinegar, 7up or any lemon/lime soda, and real lemon or lime juice. Sugar is thought to provide nutrients to the cut flowers. Some type of bleach additive is also recommended because it prevents the growth of bacteria in the water. The best mix would include something acidic, plus sugar, plus a little bleach although any of these individually is thought to be better than plain tap water. The powder packets provided by florists contain a mix of acid, sugar and an anti-bacterial of some sort.
i have heard a little ice tea in the water; also a little sugar; I've also heard putting an asparin in the water.
for cut flowers with no additive a week
I dont have a clue.
if you put Sprite in your water it will make the flowers last longer
Flowers absorb water through their roots. When they are cut and put in water, they continue to absorb water.
With the best of care, pom flowers may last a couple of days indoors, and longer outside. Proper cutting in terms of cut flowers and proper care in terms of cut and potted flowers are what define how long pom flowers last. This Chrysanthemum member of the Daisy [Asteraceae] family is sensitive to proper moisture, light and heat levels. For example, inside it fares better with indirect, reflected light than with the direct light of location on an blindless, curtainless sill.
Live cut flowers have a limited life. The majority of cut flowers can be expected to last several days with proper care. Roses and Daisies have a really short life.

flowers... that have been cut...
Silk flowers or artificial flowers will be just fine. Not only can they be more expensive than fresh cut flowers or arrangements but will of course last longer.
I can't find any evidence that this would make them last longer. In fact I can't find any evidence of anyone putting flowers in a water & batteries mix.
