  • Sprains and strains, especially in the legs and wrists;
  • Grazes from the turf;
  • Bruises, either from contact with players, with sticks, with the ball, or occassionally with the goals or fences;
  • Tissue damage such as cuts from stick contact and blunt object trauma;
  • Broken or dislocated bones: the arms and legs can easily be dislocated in some incidents, and most bones in the body can be broken from contacts;
  • Fingers can be literally severed;
  • Broken noses;
  • Organ damage;
  • Concussion;
  • Brain damage.
  • Some of these can be serious enough to cause death (although there is no record of this actually happening).
