What is 'grandma' in Greek?

Grandma in Greek is "nana".The greek spelling is: γιαγια and it is pronounced /yaya/ with the "y"being thick and the intonation is upon the last "a".

It is actually used in a loving sense and there is not a formal word for Grandma in Greek.

For instance, regardless of what your age is when a Greek says grandma yells γιαγια.
