if an engine runs full speed at 1700rpm and is in Top Gear which is a one to one ratio, then throo at differential ratio of 5.75;1 the outer circumference of the tyres are 131'' what speed would i be doing please. i also have wheels 0f 128'' if you could kindly help me out many thanks
You can't convert rpm to mph because they measure different things.
Rpm (revolutions per minutes) measure how fast an object (such as a crankshaft) spins. ph measures distance traveled in miles per hour.
If you were talking about distance traveled by the crankshaft itself, the object as a whold might not be going anywhere, although any point on the crankshaft goes around and around. But a point near the axis or center line of the shaft travels less that a point far from the axis.
If you are talking about mph that a car is traveling related to the spinning of the crankshaft, it depends on what gear the car is in.
1400 RPM is 1400 revolutions per minute, or about 23.33 revolutions per second, or about 0.04286 seconds per revolution.
100 mph
25 mph
160kph = 100 mph 160 km is a DISTANCE, and can't be converted to a speed.
3,600/5,280 gives you 1 fps in m.p.h Example: 52.8 f.p.s = 36 m.p.h.
27.96 mph
305 km/h = 189.518214 mph
It would be 55 MPH.
That depends on the radius of the wheel making the revolutions.
No
1400
12 mph
1400 - 1450 RPMs.
Keep rpm between 1400 to 1600
1200-1400.
1400 RPM after you have gone through the gears and at road speed.
Time = Distance/Speed. So 1400 miles/25 mph = 56 hours
If that's really what the question is, the answer is 1400 mph. If the question is actually "A truck travels 1400 miles in 20 hours, what is its average speed?" then the answer is 70 mph.
No. The water pump is designed for a specific RPM. It will not operate correctly, and will probably be damaged, if you attempt to operate it at twice the design RPM.
2 km/h is 1.24274 mph
