512mb of ram is good for older Apple computers, smartphones(and even some have 1gb or so of ram today) and very, very low power netbooks, even then I would opt to have at least 1gb of ram. So really, if you're getting an Apple iMac from about 2005 or before, or are getting a middle of the road smartphone, it's good, but otherwise, I'd stay away from it. :)
that's a very basic amount.........just enough to get somethings done. for todays computers 1-2 gigs would be ok 3-4 would be good 5-6 would be great, also you can add much more ram, 16 gigs is the most ive ever have saw in a PC. Keep this in mind to it matters what type of ram you have but it would take 2-3 pages to tell you all about it.
It is good for Multitasking and gaming
Yes,i have 512mb ram and Ati with 128 mb
512MB of GDDR3 RAM
I suppose that you are talking about memory or aka (RAM).if you have two 512mb sticks of RAM you have one gigabyte of RAM. The more RAM you have the faster your computer will be. So the awnser is RAM or A Gigabyte.
It may be two slots of 512 installed
cant see why not
i think the speed of the computer will increase
It won't run.
You can very likely upgrade your computer from 512MB to 1024MB. Take care to make sure that the RAM you purchase is the same DDR (double data rate) as the existing RAM.
