I will list the ways music has changed from the eighties!!!
AND i definitely think that it is a good thing even though i did enjoy the old music i cant judge other music of the language or pace i judge by its MUSIC, not words or who sings the specific song. I think music is music!! I think music has not gotten sexier or rude. I have to admit it has gotten more violent than it was!!
Well that's my opinion bAbii...lOvee
music has been chaged by the economy by technology and the teenagers changing what the think of things.
in the baroque times teenagers would be happy to listen to the same music as adults but now they like to be different and don't enjoy the same music.
Also, "hair metal" and "glam metal" have died out in terms of popularity.
AnswerJust like technology moves with the world peoples since of personal style have made a new path for different genres of music.
The 80s clips were mostly about MTV. The best way to find this out is to go to YouTube. You can find just about every good video MTV used to have. Don't bother going to MTV for any useful entertainment anymore. It should be called Trash for Teens TV.
It seems the videos back then usually told a story. The 80s music itself demonstrated a surge in the use of keyboard synthesizers. You'll notice it a lot in bands like Duran Duran, or theme music from Miami Vice. You always wanted to catch the name of the band and song at the beginning or end of a video. MTV back then was relaxing to watch with limited commercial interruption.
Of course, in the 80s, now that musicians had video at their disposal, they pushed the envelope with explicit content as well. Madonna, George Michael, 2 Live Crew and others were in the right place in the right time to do such a thing but it's harder to find today because of FCC regulations supposedly made things worse because of things like Janet Jackson's Superbowl 'mishap' and now we got to listen to the media flap their jaws around, delivering 1 Adam Lambert out of obscurity and into the spotlight...just as he intended.
There is something modest to be said about older productions of anything because people had to create more by hand, not relying so much on the automation and special effects CGI of computers.
The 80's music was creative, unique, original and was easy to listen to. It was full of artists who had good singing voices and everyone was doing it for the music. The 80's is better in every way, I mean let's face it, The King Of Pop was around in the 80's.
Nowadays, 'artists' are either sampling 80's music and sticking it in the background to their hip hop stuff to pass it off as their own creative ideas. Or they are making songs which really do not require a good singing voice, but just requires the music to be something which the peer pressured youngsters of today will buy. I hope things pick up and kids out grow this kind of thing. When The King Of Music died, so did a part of the music scene. I hope it comes back.
80's music is simply music that was made in the 80's. There were many different genres that began developing, including synthpop, techno, goth rock, new wave, glam, and hip-hop.
It was way cooler and popular. It also was more enjoyable and people actually played instruments instead of using computerised sounds.
Most of the music during the 80's and of today are trash in my opinion.
Garage music is the name given to a subgenre of electronic dance music. It originated in the early 80s in New York City.

No. His music isn't any different from most pop artist, so his style is not 'new' therfore his music is not 'new' music. You can of course like him better than others, but he is now 'the new music.'
I'll agree that it was a great time for music, but sadly it wasn't a time for great music.
He got tired of his old music. In my opinion his new song is better.

Whether Quite Riot is better now than in the 80s is purely subjective. Personally, I think that they were better in the 80s because they had a more unique sound.
