Actually all-Hallows-Mass, the feast (Mass being religious term as in Christmas, etc)of All Saints- November the first- so Halloween is the night before. Halloween is all-Hallows-Eve in a contracted form. My Dad, who hated the holiday (because of the vandalism angle alone) oddly died on Halloween. Almosrt everybody in our famikly passed on on a holiday- Aunt Ruth-Memorial Day, Dad,Halloween,etc He even joked about the (Holiday express). So, far, thankfully, nobody on Christmas!
