"Bahasa Melayu" adalah Bahasa Kebangsaan negara Malaysia yang termaktub di dalam Perlembagaan Persekutuan. "Bahasa Melayu" adalah bahasa rasmi negara Malaysia. Penggunaan Bahasa Melayu adalah sepertimana yang diperuntukkan oleh Akta Bahasa Rasmi. Istilah yang betul untuk digunakan adalah "Bahasa Melayu" dan bukannya "Bahasa Malaysia"

English translation:-

"Bahasa Melayu" is the National Language of Malaysia, as stipulated under the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. It is the Official Language of Malaysia. The usage of "Bahasa Melayu" is as per stipulation of the Official Language Act. The correct term to be used is "Bahasa Melayu", not "Bahasa Malaysia".
