Final Fantasy X-2 is the sequel to Final Fantasy X. This game focuses on Rikku, Yuna and Paine, rather than Tidus. Final Fantasy X-2 begins as Yuna, Rikku and Paine recover Yuna's stolen Garment Grid from the Leblanc Syndicate in the first of several encounters in which they vie for spheres. The game is punctuated by a narration of Yuna addressing Tidus, as though she is recounting the events of the game to him as they occur in a style reminiscent of Tidus' own narration in Final Fantasy X. Although Yuna's quest is to find clues that may lead her to Tidus, much of the storyline of the game follows the clash of the factions that have established themselves in the time since the coming of the Eternal Calm in Final Fantasy X, and the uncovering of hidden legacies from Spira's ancient history. A significant portion of the game's events are unnecessary for the completion of the main storyline, but much of the depth of the story-including characterization and background details-are featured in the optional content, which generally follows how each part of Spira is healing in the time since the passing of Sin.

As X-2 is now a somewhat old game, it may be a bit hard to find, but i'd recommed checking gamestop or any local gamestore. Then again, you've got the sure-fire eBay or amazon.

Please clarify. I'm not aware of there being a password in the game at all. The game does have a system where you can select words to ask more about though. So, maybe there is a section where you might need to talk to a different NPC before continuing on the storyline as certain NPCs have "catch phrases" and "key words" that are important to continue the story.

that probably means the disk has to many scratches on it for the PS2 to read. you can go to your local game store and get it resurfaced, which grinds away a thin layer of the disk so the scartches are gone. that will cost you about $2.00 or you can buy a whole new game, which costs about $15.00 now if the disk is fine then that means its the play station that's broken, which is not a good thing.
Should you play older Final Fantasy games first before playing XII?
I would Suggest you play the previous games but you don't have to. All Final Fantasy games ( except X and X2) have a differant story completely independent of the others. the only thing that will be the same is a couple of characters Names (eg Cid, Wedge and Biggs). If your going to play FFX2 then i suggest you play X as it is a sequal.
