What is Fire fighting foam?

Fire fighting foam is used to smuther fires. The foam will work as a blanket on the fire to prevent oxygen and flames from re-igniting the area. Foam is best used on oil or gas spills but my fire department uses it for anything on fire to get the job done right and fast.
