HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the brand new A/V solution that brings a whole new entourage of features to your home theater. You do not have to worry about cables getting tangled, since a HDMI cable is compacted of audio and video interface that is transmitted within one cable.
It transmits high-definition video signals up to 1080p resolution, and 5.1 surround sound audio including the high-definition audio formats available on Blu-ray.
HDTV - High definition television. HD television is any signal that conforms to the HD standards. That means any signal of 720 lines, 1080 lines or (now obsolete) 1035 lines. There are a number of different frame rates associated with each resolution so there are about 25 separate HD formats worldwide.
HDMI - High definition multi-media interface. This is the accepted standard for domestic HD signal connections between receivers and televisions. The single cable carries video and audio signals as well as other data. It also supports encrypted signals using HDCP (high definition copy protection) which prevents unauthorized users extracting and copying the signal. HDMI also supports standard definition signals and many digital computer display signals (it is compatible with DVI digital signals).
If it has HDMI connectors you have a HDTV.
You need an HDTV for it to work and the TV has to have an HDMI connection. Then you need to turn your HDTV to the location for the HDMI that was connected
If the set has HDMI connectors it is a HDTV.
I plugged the HDMI cable into the HDTV and into the PS3. Then I went to the settings for both the HDTV and the PS3 slim and set them for HDMI and sync. When it works right putting a disc into the PS3 will turn on the HDTV and also switch the HDTV over to that HDMI input rather than a cable box or similar item even if it was on the cable box when you last used the HDTV.
To connect the PS3 to a HDTV you need an HDMI cable if your HDTV has an HDMI connection, if it doesn't you need a PS3 component cable.
You don't. You either connect the PS3 to your HDTV with HDMI and the Comcast box to your HDTV with HDMI cables like I used to have or you connect the PS3 and Comcast Box with HDMI cables like I did to my home theater and then connect the home theater to the HDTV with a HDMI cable. My Comcast box is HD and I have a Sony HDTV and Sony Home Theater equipped with a HDMI repeater. If you are talking about connection for the internet it is not done with a HDMI cable, but an ethernet cable
HDMI cables are used to connect camcorders to hdtv.
Yes, you can connect a PS3 to an HDTV by a component cable or an HDMI cable.
You plug one end of the HDMI cable into the PS3 and the other into the HDTV
To get your PS3 to output in 720P you will need an HDMI cable and an HDTV. Connect your PS3 to the HDTV using the HDMI cable. After you connect the PS3 to the HDTV go to options and then output setting and choose to output in 720p.
No the laptop HDMI would allow the laptop to display on your HDTV just like the PS3 HDMI does or a PC HDMI does
You need to turn your HDTV to the HDMI input the PS3 was plugged into. The HDTV will only switch automatically when you turn your PS3 on after the HDMI system settings have been set up on both your PS3 and HDTV and only the slim PS3 have HDMI sync
