What is Ireland's climate?

Answer:
The climate is temperate maritime;modified by North Atlantic Current;mild winters, cool summers;consistently humid;overcast about half the time.

The summer months of May to August are the warmest time in Ireland; temperatures range between approximately 10C to 17C. May and June have the least rain and are less changeable on a day-to-day basis than the climate during the rest of the year.

The Winter months of January and February are the coldest months, with temperatures around 4C to 7C.

It rains a great deal of the time. The Irish term, 'a soft day', describes the soft, misty days which prevail throughout the year, when all is green and grey. The term is an interesting comment on the Irish character; the English would generally refer to grey, drizzly and chilly days as 'miserable weather'.
