Jupiter doesn't really have a surface as we think of earth's surface. Jupiter is a gas giant and is almost all gas. There is a small rocky/metallic core, but it would be no place to plan a vacation. Jupiter doesn't have a surface, in the way that we think of such a thing. The largest planet in our Solar System is what's called a "gas giant" and is composed primarily of hydrogen -- the vast majority of it in its gaseous form. The deeper you travel into Jupiter, the higher the pressure gets, but it's most likely that you would never find much in the way of "solid" matter. There is a school of thought that says there could be a core of metallic hydrogen right at the center of Jupiter, but more research is needed to either prove or disprove the theory.

Jupiter is a gas giant and does not have a solid surface like the Earth. Its outer layer is composed mainly of hydrogen and helium gases. Below this outer layer, there is a layer of liquid metallic hydrogen.

Their is no real surface it is a "gas giant" so the "surface" is all gas. I am an astronomy student and i know that the "surface" is not boring it is actually very interesting.

That's right, but Jupiter has a core of solide rock, but noth that big as the rock planets like Mercury, venus , mars or the earth.

Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto all have rough, icey surfaces. Io has a smoother, rocky surface.
