In Australia, if you are 16 and starting then it is usually $8.11 for first 15 weeks, then it goes up to $9.73. Then goes to about $11.00 at age 17 then $14.00 at 18, $16.00 at age 19, $20.00 at 20 and then $21-ish at 21.
In America you probably start at 7.25 a hour and have no real chance of improvement. You'll probably never hit $10 unless you are a manager.
Federal minimum wage is just under $6 at this time, so figure a new employee working a full time shift would earn just under $48 per day...less taxes, etc., of course.
