From my understanding, a parent can leave their child or children home alone at any age, as long as they think they are mature enough to handle it. Basically, there is not a law in Ohio about leaving a child alone. However, in the instance that something was to happen while the child or children were alone, then something would be done legally.
Due to the increasing behavior in adolescence SOME states have a law that a child can not be home alone under a certain age. Ohio (as of now) does not. But According to this site...

They recommand that Children under the age of 12 don't be left home alone. But to answer your question Yes, a child is leagally allowed to be left alone at any age.
In Manitoba it is against the law to leave any child under the age of 12 home alone. Information found via the government of Manitoba website.
There is currently not a law that specifies the age a child has to be to stay home alone overnight. It is left up to the parents to decide if their child is mature enough to handle it.
Only two states have legislated a specific age to leave a child home alone, Illinois and Maryland. Generally speaking, the child must be safe, must feel safe, and know how to take care of themselves in an emergency. Most places believe that 12 or 13 is okay to leave home alone for a couple of hours during daylight hours.
A child should be left alone at 13, but leaving him/her alone if him/her is under 13 isn't against the law, infact, everyone does it. It's just listed as 13 because the safe-asses think it would be better at that age3 but to be totally honest, as long as your child is a responsible kid, you can leave him whenever age you find is comfortable!
Well there's no law that says you cant leave your child home alone unless there like 2 but its up to the parent if they trust a babysitter than any age is ok if an adult is present but if they are going to be home alone i would say you need to have a sit down with the child and tell them what to do and what not to do like playing with the stove etc. but i would recommend not leaving him/her alone unless they are about 12 or 13 but that's just my opinion
NEVER! They may suffocate or die.. They can drive according to the state law. Never, Ever leave your child in the car alone!
The state of Louisiana does not have a law that states the age in which a child can be left home alone. However it is never recommended that a child under age 12 be left home alone for any period of time.
In the state of Illinois, the legal age to leave a child home alone is 14. Illinois is one of only 13 states that have a latch key law on the books.
There isn't a set age at which you can leave your child alone, but it is a crime to leave a child if doing so puts them at risk. It is up to the police and social services to decide, on a case by case basis, as to whether there was any risk to the child.
at least twelve or older i left mine at home at 10

Yes it is. I'm pretty sure all of the country's law is that a child may not stay home alone under the age of 16.
I don't think there is such a thing. That is, I don't think there's a law setting out a specific age at which you can leave a child alone overnight. (Well, the age of majority... 18... would be pretty much an upper bound.) In the absence of a law, it's left up to the discretion of the courts whether leaving a particular child alone constituted child endangerment or not.
No I was left alone at 10 with a 12 year old there is no law that you can't leave a child alone at home.
According to www.nspcc.org.uk/ the law does not say, it does give you a list of things to consider when leaving a child at home. for example, age, maturity level, and capability.
In KS, this would fall under the child endangerment law. There isn't another specific law yet about when, how long, how old, etc you can or can't leave a child in the car. But under child endangerment, the officer can arrest the caregiver and take the children into custody.
