slip two stitches to the right hand needle, insert the left needle into the back loops of these stitches and then knit. I find this too fidley to do so i use S1 K1 PSSO as it gives the same results: Slip one stitch to the right hand needle, knit the next stitch off of the left hand needle onto the right, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. It gives exactly the same results but isn't as difficult.

SSK stands for slip, slip, knit: Slip one stitch, then slip the next. Insert left needle into the front loops of the slipped stitches and knit them both through the back loops. This stitch is used to decrease the number of stitches in a row with a leftward lean. The mirror image of a SSK decrease is the K2TOG decrease which leans toward the right. Pairing decreases on either side of a decrease line makes attractive shaping in garments.
