Samaritan's Purse is an international Christian relief and development organization headed by Franklin Graham, son of evangelist Billy Graham. The non-profit organization specializes in meeting the critical needs of victims of war, poverty, disease, and natural disaster, in order to demonstrate and God's love, where possible, to those in need. Samaritan's Purse has its international headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, and has fund-raising offices in Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland and Australia. The organization has many projects, including Operation Christmas Child, which distributes millions of shoe boxes full of gifts to impoverished children, Turn on the Tap, which helps families in the developing world get safe water, and more.
