Skelaxin is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) in the brain. Skelaxin is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to metaxalone, or if you have anemia (a lack of red blood cells), or severe kidney or liver disease. Before using Skelaxin, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Use this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Skelaxin can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It can increase some of the side effects of Skelaxin.
can you take skelaxin at the same time you are taking tramadol
yes, its okay, i have been prescribed skelaxin plus ibuprofen at the same time, skelaxin is a muscle relaxer and ibuprofen is a anti-inflammatory plus non-narcotic pain reliever. I had to side effects from combining the two.
I had to go to the hospital today because after taking skelaxin I fainted twice. Dr said I had low blood pressure caused by the skelaxin so I say, "YES"!
Is it ok to take skelaxin 800 mg and ibuprofen 600 mg together?

Yes
Skelaxin isn"t an opiate, but be careful about taking anything that can become habit-forming.
No.
No. Robaxin and Skelaxin should not be taking together. They are both in the same class of relaxant and therefore have the same effects AND possible side effects.
