I own a totally original that has been appraised at over $64,000 (by an expert independent appraiser). I have observed two E-bay sales in the last three years at $49,000 and $63,000. A true original is advertised very rarely. Mine is a documented, unmodified, fully oiginal guitar, acquired new in 1953 complete with original strap, case and tweed amp. I personally, would not part with it for less than $100,000.
Be aware that the vintage market is a lot like the Stock Market! The values will change drastically. E-Bay is not always a good resource for vintage gear. I would contact Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville Tenn to get a accurate value.
They are world renown for their expertise on vintage guitars and amps.
As a Fender Authorized Service Technician I always call on them anytime something of this nature shows up.
Good luck to you...
Scott
Gruhn has one for $8,000 for sale (AS OF 11/28/08). Somebody has a 59 Tele neck for sale for $2550 on ebay... Given erosion in the vintage guitar market, it's worth whatever you can get for it. Mark in Medford, MA USA
Well, your not saying a lot of details. first of all, it depends on,
1. the color, paint, effects, (example. tobacco sunburst, cherry vanilla ext.)
2. the condition its in, (ea clearcoats worn off, scratches ext.)
3. if its all stock, or if its been modified.
4. is there anything as, f holes, mahogany or maple neck.
theres lots of factors that state the price of it.
if its a mint condition, (various factors,) it can be from 3-13,5k
i have a mint 1961 sunburst bigsby telecaster, and its estimated at 15,4k if that helps any.
If the guitar is not a FAKE then it's worth as much, if not more, then any other vintage guitar ever made!
Depends on many variables. Condition, hang tags, originality, color, case condition, ect. These guitars exist. You can price them if you have the specs.
$15,000 if all original and all date stamping intact.
Over 9000 dollars
As valuable as any guitar ever made!
A 1969 Telecaster will cost between 2500 and 5000 USD, depending on condition and color.
It depends on it's condition
I bought it in the first days of this month and I'm loving it. I think you won't regret it. Neck is really comfortable, sound of Texas special pick ups is just amazing. Honestly I didn't expect THAT much from it when I bought it.
The first Fender Stratocaster was designed in 1954 by Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and Freddie Tavares.

Just buy the Fender instead of the Squier. From the description, you're probably looking at a Fender '72 Telecaster Deluxe, with two "wide range" humbuckers and four control knobs. You can modify a Squier, but the cost of the modifications and the parts will probably exceed the cost of the guitar. And there is never any guarantee that the resulting sound will be good until you've already paid for and completed the modification. Also, a Squier depreciates in value pretty much the second you take it out of the store. A Fender, even a Mexican one, will hold its value better. When in doubt, just buy the guitar that already has the sound and feel you want.
Very easy playing guitar great for beginners, or: worth $250.00
