24kt. gold is electroplated on to another metal with "I believe" a solution of salt, water & vinegar when you electroplate you are actually sending molecules from a source of gold through this solution and then they stick or are electroplated onto another conductive metal.
Just get a 12 volt car battery and connect the pos. to your gold and the neg. to the piece you want to plate take bothe ends pos and neg and dip them into the solution and it will start to bubble. wipe away the outer layer of your neg piece every few min and after a few dips you will have just electroplated your first metal.
