What is a C-section?

Answer:
A C-Section is performed on pregnant women. Normally, they get C-Sections if they are having problems giving birth, or there will be serious complications of a normal birth.

The woman goes to surgery where they put her to sleep and cut open her stomach and uterus. They remove the baby and sew her back up.

There is always risk for infection, and there is normally a scar left afterwards.

C-Section is the shortened form of "caesarean section".
