chi rho symbolises the birth of life and shold stay that 4ever
(By Martin Cosentino, 11.30.10)
The symbol Chi-Rho, the first two letters of the Greek word 'christos'
the name for Christ, the 'Anointed One,' is the fusion of the female, chi,
symbolized by the 'X' and the male 'rho', symbolized by the 'P' joined
together at the focus of the 'chi', an overt symbol of physical sexual union.
The male 'rho' is a direct symbol of the 'right hand of G-d,' the place where
Christ reigns, is depicted as the right half-circle of the 'P' and is a direct
reference to the location of the right half of the human brain. The symbol
also suggests the spiritual union of these two polarities, "in the image and
likeness of G-d, he created them, male and female created he them." This
supposition, the Christ, concludes that in all human beings, regardless of
their gender or sexual orientation, the male and female principles are bound
together in love, without which, no life of any kind, is possible. Christianity
then, considering the inviolate nature of every person, presumes that the
advent of the Christ, in Greek, 'The Anointed One' is possible for every human
being born. The Christogram represents the highest possible human achievement,
both in spirit and form, approaching divinity. It is this entire Greek concept of the Christ, joined with the Judaic concept of the Messiah, the Redeemer, that describes and characterizes the modern understanding of the person of Jesus of Nazareth, the founder of Christianity.
The Chi Rho is a symbol made up of the first two Greek letters that spell the name of Christ. It is an early Christian symbol allegedly seen by Constantine before his great battle at the Milivan Bridge. Constantine had the sign painted on the shields of his men and he went on to victory against the superior forces of his enemy. Convinced of Christ's power, Constantine thus put the sign upon the imperial standard. You can follow the link below to see the Chi Rho.
The only problem with this answer is that the chi-rho symbol was around before Christianity, on the coins of Ptolemy lll Euergetes 246-222 BC. I have added a link to the coin.
Alpha Chi Rho was created on 1895-06-04.
No but it is the symbol of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity.
You pronounce chi rho the same as the Egyptian capital: Cairo.

chi rho
The Chi Rho Symbol is a superimposed X and P. This symbol was used by Greeks to mark passages and is also a symbol for the crucifiction of Christ.
Rho is an abbreviation of the Greek word for rose. So a rho cross derives iTs meaning from the risen Christ, Christ who rose. Rho Crosses include Tau Rho and Chi Rho, my love being one of them.
Yes it is. The X is part of the two Greek letter representing the name for Christ - the Chi-Rho. The Chi Rho is one of the earliest forms of christogram, and is used by some Christians. It is formed by superimposing the first two (capital) letters chi and rho (??) of the Greek word "???????" = Christ in such a way to produce the monogram.
In religious (and, more particularly, Christian) terms, a "Chi-Rho" is a symbol of spiritual significance because it represents Christ -- the redeemer-savior at the center of Christian faith. In the Greek language, the "chi" is the first letter for "Christ" (or, "xpristos" in a rough transliteration) while the "rho" is the second. The "Chi-Rho" symbol is created by placing these letters atop each other.

If you consider Christianity a gang, then yes.
