do i contact transunion to get paid debts off my credit
This is the TransUnion fax number, 888-462-8009. This number is mainly used for disputes to your credit report. You can also call them if you have an issue.
One can find the telephone number for a local credit bureau by looking in the yellow pages of a phone directory. One could also find this number online by visiting Credit Bureau Contact Information.
The contact us page for Trans Union (transunion.com/personal-credit/customer-support/contact-us.page) has several numbers that you could try.
Call 1-800-916-8800 and wait for the "Speak to an agent" option. I just called and it worked for me.
The three major reporting bureaus have websites with contact information..www.equifax.com, www.transunion.com and www.experian.com
If you have a copy of your credit report the creditor's last known phone number and/or address should be listed. If it is not you can contact the credit bureau that it is reported with and they can try to get you that info. Otherwise, dispute it with the credit bureau. If they can't verify the information they will delete it. Good luck.
Someone can view their own credit report from a number of credit scoring agencies, such as equifax, transunion, and annual credit report, and experian.
There are a number of companies that offer credit reports online. Some of these companies include 'Experian', 'checkmyfile', 'Equifax' and 'TransUnion'.
TRW is now Experian.
What you need to do is contact the credit bureau that you received the report from immediately and let them know that there is another person's name and address on it. It's possible that the other person accidentally put down your social security number on an application instead of theirs, but most likely there is fraud involved. Call the credit bureau and find out when/how the name/address was changed and ask them how this might have happened. They should be able to shed some light at least on what happened. Also, it would be a great idea to contact the other credit bureaus and see if they have the same misinformation. You'll want to make sure the three major bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and Transunion) all have 100% accurate information about you.
Each credit bureau has its own toll-free number(s).
It means that your credit bureau did not have a sufficient credit history, and instead sent a filler number to populate.
