There was a time, perhaps 50 years ago, when the sleeping pills doctors prescribed were really quite lethal. However, that day is pretty much gone. While those old medications exist, they're rarely prescribed and not even available on the black market anymore.
Modern sleeping pills are extremely hard to overdose on. In fact there are no really trustworthy LD50 stats on them, as the lethal dose for humans is not known. It seems they work well to put you to sleep, but aren't particularly lethal. Which is good, yes? :}
This doesn't mean they can't do you harm -- they can, and you're advised to stick to the doctor's recommendations on dosage. But at this time, there's no way to honestly say what does is lethal.

noone can really answer that question. It al depends on the persons tolerance. If you never have taken methadone or anykind of opiates before, then a small amount could be fatal. The first time I had taken methadone, I took about 20 mg and was almost unconcious. Now from mytolerance buildup, I can take 120 mg with no problem, which in fact WILL kill the normal human who has never taken anything before!!!
Paracetamol/acetaminophen can cause liver damage and other dangerous effects at doses much less than fatal. Death from acetaminophen is very slow and painful. Above 2 grams (2000mg) a day for more than a few days can damage your liver. More than 5 grams at any one time can damage your liver. More than 10 grams in a day will almost certainly damage your liver. The minimum dose to kill a 175 pound (80 kilogram) adult is probably 80 grams. In all likelihood, you might surivive 200 grams. But, you would probably die in a year without a new liver. To be assured death, you might need 500 grams. So stick to sodium cyanide.
This is a situation that depends on each person as morphine can kill a healthy person and the same mg/dose can be a normal dose to a chronic pain patient. In other words a persons tolerance has a lot to do with how much a person is able to consume before the medications side affects begin to become harmful or fatal. A seemingly health person may take 20mg and its side affects may be very noticeable and a chronic pain patient could take the same dose and not feel any of though affects. When taking opiate medicines its always safer to start low and know if any side affects of the medicine are bothersome.
Any number of sleeping pills past the number recommended by a doctor can be fatal. This number can be as little as 1 or 2 pills.
