What is a Ionic bind?

Answer:
If you mean Ionic bond,
it is a bond that is between metal and non metal .
it is the strongest bond after hydrogen bonding.
for example:
NaCl
So Na is the ion with the positive charge, and Cl is the non ion with the negative charge. So the ion with the negative charge is more attracted to gain the free e than the positively charged ion.
it is opposite of Covalent charge which is between the non-metals.
For eg. ClF . these two elements share the e together instead of on of them being greedy and keeping it to itself.
hope that answered your ?
