A kakapo is a flightless parrot confined to isolated parts of the southern part of New Zealand's South Island and is severely endangered.



The Kakapo is the worlds largest parrot,and the only parrot that can not fly. It can however climb trees and fly very close to the ground.Because it lives on the ground and nests in holes it is very vulnerable to predators, there are less than 50 still alive.
