The Labour Party (leader Gordon Brown) is one of the three main political parties in Britain. They are the party in power currently but there is an election on 6th May and that may change. The other two main parties are the Conservative Party, (leader David Cameron) sometimes called the Tories and the Liberal Democrat Party, often abbreviated to LibDems (leader Nick Clegg).
