What is a Labrador Retriever?

Answer:
The Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog breed in the world. They were originally bred as hunting dogs and their job was to retrieve fowl that had fallen to the ground, hence the word "retriever" in their name.

Labrador Retrievers come in three coat colors: black, yellow and chocolate. The yellow labs are sometimes called "golden" labs, but this is a misnomer. "Golden Labs" are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever.
