Actually, I really knew about this but, I would like to tell all people that do not do a crime...! so that we will be in ONE peace! Please spread this to your friends..! or post this on twitter..! I really appreciate that! Well, here are the examples: a motorcycle is doing an action when the driver is going on an unidentified distance. So, the driver is doing an action while he is on a distance force!!! Did I answer your question? (from Rhiyan Mae)

That refers to a force that acts even when the object involved don't touch one another directly.

Such forces include gravity, the electric force, and the magnetic force.

Is an electricle force a contact force or an action-at-a-distance force?

Without going into advanced physics, just consider it an action at a distance. The objects don't need to be touching directly for the force to be transmitted.

What is the turning effect of a force about a point equal to the magnitude of the force times the perpendicular distance from the point to the line of action from force?

That's the torque due to the force.

Is gravity considered a contact force because it acts on objects directly?

Gravity is action at a distance, a non contact force

Difference between contact force and those actata a distance?

Contact force means that objects need to be in contact for there to be a force. "Action at a distance" means the objects do NOT need to touch one another directly.

Why is frictional force known as action at a distance force?

It's not. For there to be friction, there must be nodistance between the objects (surfaces) in question. Action at a distance forces are forces like gravity and electromagnetism. These forces can affect the state of an object with no media attached to the object.

What are the forces in physics?

Contact Forces Action-at-a-Distance Forces Frictional Force Gravitational Force Tension Force Electrical Force Normal Force Magnetic Force Air Resistance Force Applied Force Spring Force

What is the formula for moment arm?

we can show moment arm as r=torque divide by force.

What is a turning force?

The turning effects of forces are known as moments. A moment is computed by multiplying the force by the perpendicular distance from its line of action to the fulcrum.

Name and define the two basic kinds of force?

Contact forces: frictional force, tension Force, air resistance force , applied force and spring force Action-at-a-Distance Forces: gravitantional, electrical and magnetic force If this was the answer you where looking for :)

What is the formula for moment of a force?

Turning moment (Nm) = Force (N) x Perpendicular Distance from the pivot to the line of action of the force (m)

What is distance force?

Okay, distance force is force that is moved by a distance. Hope u understand!

What does the x mean in force x distance?

Force times distance. Or force over distance.
