This is a degree type that is more hands on rather than theory based. It is typically designed to give the student all the expertise necessary to enter entry level positions within the workforce immediately upon successful completion of the degree. The applied degree - as it indicates - is particular to the technologies which may include electronic, civil, mechanical engineering, computer technologies, and more. Some of these majors may or may not transfer well to a four year college or university.
