What is a bare spot and a red thin growth near it on the rear of a Mexican Red Knee?

In: Pets

Answer

Balding on the abdomen of tarantulas is generally caused by stress. The taratula will kick is abdomen with its back legs to flick its hairs out. These then land on the skin of any predators near by, causing them to itch and back away from the spider. However, make sure there arent any tiny mites living on your taratula, as the spider can also loose hair by tring to scatch the mites of with its legs.
