Why does the pregnancy test show negative results if you truly are pregnant?

maybe there wasnt enough pregnancy hormone in your urine. the first urine of the morning is the best one to detect if this hormone is presant. but i suggest you see a doctor because if your not pregnant there may be something else wrong! good luck.

Answertesting too early, using diluted urine, erratic technique, and waiting too long to read the results are some of the causes i can think of off the top of my head.

∙ 18y agoa couple of reasons 1) you may have tested to early before the fertlized egg implanted itself into the uterine lining and started producing pregnancy hormones. or.. 2) a faulty test.. they are not perfect! ~pawsalmighty

∙ 15y agoA negative test could also be the result of a phantom pregnancy. A phantom pregnancy is where you basically fool your mind and body into thinking it is pregnant. You will still experience pregnancy symptoms but you are not actually pregnant; it is al psychological Some women have even been able to lactate during a phantom pregnacny. The causes of a phantom pregnancy are either paranoia of being pregnant or having an extreme desire to become pregnant. There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

∙ 13y agoYes. You may not be far enough along to test positive on a home pregnancy test. i would recommend testing again with a more sensitive test or waiting a few more days and testing again. Be sure to use the urine when you first wake up as it has the most hCG in it.

You very well could be. Also, Sometimes if a women really truly wants to be pregnant, her mind can play tricks on her, making her think she is pregnant when she isn't, and "she" doesn't want to look at the fact that it very well also could be their period getting ready to begin. no. It is a negative connotation - i.e. Is she truly concerned or is she just being noisy?

Semen is usually killed by air, so it is unlikely but POSSIBLE that you could get pregnant this way. Consider how long it has been since this happened. I have never heard that your stomach being tight is a sign of pregnancy, and one generally doesn't show signs very early. Most likely this is paranoia or another problem completely, but it IS possible. (unlikely) So if you are truly worried, and if you do miss a period, take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor to get checked.

the only way you can truly know is to have a test done. your clip is suppost to prevent the sperm meetin the egg. as of last year out of 100 women who have a filshie clip less then 1 women got pregnant.
