Analog refers principally to how the time is displayed - by the use of hands. It's neither an automatic (rotary weight winder and can also be wound mechanically using the crown), nor is it a mechanically wound (wound using manual effort by twisting the crown, and hence tightening the mainspring). The INVICTA 5915 (the red sea spider edition) is a quartz movement (battery powered). The watch is entirely Swiss Made, and thus the quartz movement is also Swiss Made. Mine is accurate to within a second per week. You mileage may vary. The chronograph function is also superbly accurate. /Good Luck
