A controversial issue is the death penalty. This is a controversial issue because it could affect a lot of innocent people. Like if a guilty person walked away from the crime they committed and an innocent person got the death penalty for the crime that the guilty person should've gotten instead then everyone having to do with anything could be affected deeply. Make sure you have the right person before you do anything that dramatic.
