A convection and microwave combination oven is an appliance that combines the functions of both units in just one piece of equipment. This appliance will look much like a microwave oven, but will have conventional resistance (electric) heating elements in it as well as the little fan to provide the convection. This unit will function in either capacity, and about the only drawback is that the convection oven has a limited volume. Bon appétit!

It is not really a convenction oven it is a convectional oven. It is your regular gas or electric oven that is in the wall. It isn't a microwave oven or a toaster oven or a stove. it is a convectional oven. Hope i helped!!!!!

Rather than let hot air circulate randomly, convection ovens carefully create a uniform temperature with internal fans that circulate hot air. Convection ovens are larger and more expensive than standard, or radiant, ovens, but they cook food faster, at a lower temperature, and with better results. Fans ensure that the same temperature reaches the top and bottom of foods, as well as foods at all rack levels.

Unlike conventional ovens, convection ovens have fans to circulate air around the food. They also cook at lower temperature, and have improved heat transfer.
