What is a definition of creationism comparing it to evolution?

Answer:

Answer

Creationism is the belief, or strongly held opinion, that the universe, the Earth and all forms of life including man were created by a creator god, in practice usually the Abrahamic God.

Evolution is change in the genetic nature of a population of organisms from one generation to the next, as a result of a combination of three main processes: variation, reproduction, and natural selection. In this context it refers to the evolution of entirely new species over time.

Some are of the opinion that to compare creationism to evolution is to compare opinion that is unsupported by evidence, to evidence-based scientific theory. Others see both as working together, attributing it to a divine source. Still others see creationism as science-based and using the same evidence as evolution, but interpreting it from a different worldview.
