What is a dynamic level in music?

In: Music

Answer

"Crescendos and diminuendos are also dynamics. A crescendo means the composer wants you to gradually get quieter and diminuendo means gradually get quieter. these are often called hair pins as they look like hair pins funnily enough! hope this has helped"

== Sorry, I'd just like to clarify that CRESCENDO does not mean gradually getting quiet, it means a gradual increase in volume. Just in case anyone gets confused by your answer. Thanks =] ==

Dynamics are simply the volume "level" in a piece of music. Decrescendo is to get quieter and looks like this symbol ^ but skinnier and turned on its side, pointing with the closed end to the right. Crescendo is the opposite.
