A good type of pump to use in a high lift low flow situation is a positive displacement pump. These work by moving a set volume of water at a time and block against backflow.
The other main type of pump is the rotodynamic pump which pumps by speeding the flow of the water. This type is not suitable for high lift situations.
No. Once you pump anything but potable water with that pump, it's not good for pumping potable water.
To keep ants out of the points of a water pump it is a good idea to treat the ground the pump is sitting on with a herbicide that prevents ants. It is also a good idea to keep an ant trap near the pump or set the pump on a small table.
It's a good practice to change the water pump when you are changing the timing belt.
If the thermostat, and water pump are good,A bad head gasket will cause overheating
The water pump is located in the timing set up behind the timing cover its a good idea to replace the timing belt when u replace the water pump
Quite possibly the drive belt is over tensionedANS 2 -You must tell us what kind of pump this is for a good answer. -Is it a water pump in an auto engine, a well supply pump, a pool pump ?
DRAIN AND REMOVE RADIATOR.SHROUD AND FAN REMOVE WATER PUMP,RE-INSTALL PUMP WITH SILICONE SEALENT..GOOD LUCK ..toro2
The water pump is located in the timing belt housing, good luck
You need a water pump and water pump gasket (sometimes it comes with water pump but not always). It's a good idea to get to replace crankshaft, camshaft and oil pump seals. Also if money allows replace the timing belt spring and its tensioneer.
The most obvious would be coolant leaking from the weep hole. A noisy and or loose water pump bearing would also be a good reason to replace the pump.
No it will not. Before it hurts the water pump the engine would over heat big time, and the w/ pump would probley still be good.
the one from the dealer.
