What is a good idea for a neon nights themed homecoming parade float?

Create the bottom of the float so that it is black. Use glass tubes and other shapes illuminated with neon lights. Accent this design with some large mirrors to reflect the illuminated shapes and make an amazing effect. This float will work best if it is used at night/ in the dark. The light ruins the effect.
