I had a really fun scavenger hunt birthday when I turned 15, because I love to shop, and the best places to hide things are in places that the other kids at the party are familiar with. Hide them in a book store and give them a hint such as 'Teen Literature' or in a Boardwalk Blvd. type of food and game place and put it near a game and give them a hint such as 'You jump up and down and throw circular items into a basket.' The items that I hid were wrapped small girly gifts from Claires or solid color tank tops from Old Navy. I hid around 24 things, so each girl could find at least two. You can play with a winner though, and they can receive an ultimate prize such as headphones for an iPod or a gift certificate to Claires, or something of that sort. Make sure to make the list appealing with a lot of color. And when wrapping the items to hide, wrap each gift the same color, so they all know they are looking for, example: an orange wrapped item.
