None - dogs are very sensitive to the side effects of human pain relievers (aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, acetominophen, etc.) and you can cause fatal stomach ulcers with them.

If you feel your dog would benefit from pain medication, you need to talk to your veterinarian. There are safe medications for dogs for this, but you need a veterinary prescription to get them.

There is no safe human medication that you can give to your dogs - all of the over-the-counter pain medications (aspirin, Tylenol, Aleve, Advil, the generics of these, etc.) are very toxic to dogs and can cause fatal stomach ulcers.

If you feel your dog is in pain, you should make an appointment with your veterinarian and if needed he/she can prescribe medication that is safe for your dog.

Believe it or not, there are vets who practice animal chiropractics. Massage is also a good non invasive approach to your pets pain. This especially works because the dog loves to be stroked and loved.

You can choose a natural treatment for pain relief. We all want to avoid severe side effects and provide the most effective pain relieving treatment for our beloved pets. So, you can use alternatives that are drug free (or more natural) to kill pain effectively. Acupuncture, acupressure and massages are popular and well known ways of making your dog feel better. Our vet told us we could give our dog 1/2 or 1/4 of a piece of Tylenol for her joints. I would ask your vet before you give your dog anything.
