There is no "best" font as such. It depends on what you want to do. Some fonts are good for formal things. If you were writing an important letter, you would use something like Times New Roman. Some fonts are good for fun things, like Comic Sans MS, like if you were doing a poster for a sale.
But, to add, choose a font that you think suits you. For example, this font, Tahoma, is kind of small and little, and that's basically the way I am. So, get choosing!
I find either Verdana or Estrangelo Edessa best for me.

There are many good qualities of the company Microsoft. Microsoft offers the programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint which are effect programs that help organize office productivity.
No, those two are not good choices. If you have it, Microsoft Money or even Microsoft Excel will be much more useful.
When you are thinking of "Comic Sans MS", sans means without which makes you think about font structure. Therefore you might think "Metre Structure" but MS actually means Microsoft and sans is just there to make it have a good name

See Related links for a typeface directory. There is a large collection of fonts/typeface that imitate handwriting. They are sold for download from many different companies and sights on the internet. I would list the names but there are just too many. Also check to see if Microsoft word has anything like what you are looking for. They may offer a free font that is good enough for what you are looking for.
I prefer Microsoft Word, also open office is a good solution.
Lucida Console is a good one.
I used Microsoft Word to open my document for my science project.
Jokerface is a good font.
