try a gazelle. you can find them cheap at flea markets and yard sales. they are fun and low impact on your joints. I am on my third one. Tony Little promotes them. You can order them at Walmart.com for about $99 and they deliver them to your local store for free. If you order it online else where, they can run up to $300 or more.
Avoid heavy weights. Use dumbbells that are less than 10 pounds heavy.
You can try either or all of the below mentioned exercises 3 - 4 times a week.

These are all basic exercises and it is not mandatory to do all of them on the same day. You can choose 4-5 exercises of your preference and do them. You can include omitted exercises on the next workout day and omit a few that you did today.
Remember: Do not lift heavy weights. Keep the weights as minimal as possible.

Depends on what you mean by 'workout'. Is it workout as in bodybuilding, or workout as in keeping fit?.. If you plan on getting fit, cardio for 25-30 minutes trice a week will do. I recommend running around a soccer ground or something.
