There is no ceiling dose for narcotics, it depends on the individual's tolerance level. Tolerance levels can go up and up. First time users MIGHT be able to tolerate a small amount before vomiting and lessened consciousness occur, and truly lethal dose could be anything, depending on many factors. Again, it all depends on your body. Chronically ill patients, or oxycodone abusers, for example, have built tolerance over time. Think of it like alcohol. The first time someone has a drink, they catch a buzz quick, but over time, they need more and more. ADDED: The original answer was edited and the question 'locked' to further contributions due to the mention of dosage amounts which were deemed to be too specific, too much information, and which could possibly prove harmful.

How much less toxic is marijuana then other drugs?

Toxicity of any drug is described by its Therapeutic Index--the ratio of lethal dose to effective dose. For instance, if the effective dose--the dose that gets you high--of Soma (the fake one in Brave New World, not carisoprodol) is 10 ng/ul and the lethal dose is 100 ng/ul, Soma's therapeutic index is 10. Marijuana has no therapeutic index as it has no lethal dose. The only other drug I know of that can come close to saying that is LSD, whose lethal dose is 12,000 micrograms--this for a drug that's normally taken 100 micrograms at a time. (Given that, erowid reports that ONE person has died of an LSD overdose; the guy thought it was speed and injected 320mg--not micrograms but milligrams--of acid.)

What is the difference between oxycodine and oxycontine?

First, I'm assuming you are referring to Oxycodone (Oxycodine is a common misspelling of Oxycodone). To answer your question they are the same drug... Oxycontin contains Oxycodone, the only difference being that Oxycontin is designed as a time-released version of Oxycodone over 8-12 hours. Oxycontin pills go as high as 160mg per dose. That is why people overdose so easily on Oxycontin when they are chewed up and swallowed or crushed to snort/inject. The high dose hits them all at once rather than being released over several hours. This can be very lethal unless the individual has already been taking the drug for a while and their body has built a sufficient tolerance to it.

How lethal injection works?

A lethal injection is exactly what it's name is. It's a lethal dose of a harmful drug or something along the same line. An overdose of a certain drug can also be called a lethal injection. The lethal injection is injected into the arm or where ever on the person and there is so much of that drug (or it's poison) that it causes your heart to stop beating and you die.

What is the margin of safety LD50 ED50?

The margin of safety is the dose of a drug that is lethal for 1% of tested animals divided by the dose that produces the maximum effect for 99% of tested animals. The larger this ratio is, the better you toxicology data will (and thus, the safer the drug will be)
