The two poles are opposite and opposing e.g north and south or positive and negative. This is why if you hold two bar magnets together their will attract when north/south or positive/negative face each other or push away from each other.
A magnetic field...that's a hard one to explain. Now the attraction between the two magnets together and causes them to move towards each other is a force. A field is how this force will act over a given space. e.g. The magnetic force will be weaker, the further away from the magnet you move.
