Activity - immobile. Stomata and flowers show diurnal rhythm of opening and closing

Habitat - sheltered, shallow coastal and estuarine

Adaptations - salt excretion from leaves, pneumatophores (breathing roots), partly developed seedling, shallow root system, cable roots and aerial buttresses for support
