A mesomorph is someone who is characterized as putting on muscle mass easily and having a pretty big/stocky/muscular build.

There are two other categories of this "morphology":

Endomorphs->these people tend to be characterized by being heavier and having more bodyfat, and probably a more undesirable build i.e. wide waist and narrow shoulders

Ectomorphs are those who tend to be very slim and very lean by nature, they have a harder time putting on weight and muscle.

An example of each in terms of football....a linebacker would be more of a mesomorph, a offensive lineman (typically) would be an endomorph, and an ectomorph would be a taller skinnier wide reciever.
